treatment. Do not use on crops used for food, forage, or pastures.
Case: 25 lb bag. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Abate 5% Pellets
A slow release, organophosphate larvicide formulated on gypsum pellets.
Controls: Mosquito and midge larvae for 30 to 90 days.
Rate: Apply at 2 to 10 lbs. per acre by ground or aerial application. May also be applied as a pre-hatch
treatment. Do not use on crops used for food, forage, or pasture.
Case: 2 x 23 lb. jugs.
Precautionary Statement: WARNING
Abate 4-E
A concentrated liquid organophosphate larvicide. Controls: Mosquito larve.
Rate: Apply .5 to 1.5 fl. oz. per acre by ground or aerial application, use the highest rate in waters high in
organic matter content. Do not use on crops used for food, forage, or pasture.
Case: 2 x 2.5 gal. Precautionary Statement: WARNING
Altosid XR-G
A granular mosquito growth requlator with 21 wet days of residual activity.
Controls: Treated larvae continue to develop normally to the pupal stage where they die.
Rate: Can be aerially or ground applied. For larval control use 5 to 20 lbs. per acre. Can also be applied
as a pre-hatch or pre-flood treatment.
Case: 40 lb. bag. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Altosid Pellets
A pelleted mosquito growth requlator with 30 days of residual activity.
Controls: Treated larvae continue to develop normally to the pupal stage where they die. Also controls midge larvae.
Rate: Can be aerially or ground applied. For larval control use 2.5 to 10 lbs. per acre. Pellets are commonly used as mini briquets.
Case: 2 x 22 lb jugs. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Altosid Briquets
A sustained release mosquito growth requlator with 30 wet days of residual activity.
Controls: Treated larvae continue to develop normally to the pupal stage where they die. Ideal for catch
basins, storm drains, ditches, and other hard to reach areas.
Rate: For larval control use 1 briquet per 100 sq. ft.
Case: 400 briquets. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Altosid XR Briquets
An extended release mosquito growth requlator with 150 wet days of residual activity.
Controls: Treated larvae continue to develop normally to the pupal stage where they die.
Rate: One application can supply season long control. Works great for remote sites. For larval control of Aedes
spp. use 1 briquet per 200 sq. ft.
Case: 220 briquets. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Altosid Liquid (A.L.L.)
A micro-encapsulated mosquito growth regulator with 7 to 10 days of residual activity.
Controls: Treated larvae continue to develop normally to the pupal stage where they die.
Rate: Can be applied by air, ground, or chemigation methods to pastures, rangeland, cropland, and other areas containing stagnant water. Use 3 to 4 fl. oz. per acre. Commonly mixed with B.T.I. Liquid.
Case: 4 x 1 gal. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
B.T.I. Briquets
A floating, sustained–release, biological larvicide with 30 days or more of residual activity.
Controls: Mosquito larvae within 48 hours of application. Effective against 1st and 3rd instar larvae. Briquets are best used in remote areas and in pre-flood treatments.
Rate: Apply 1 briquet per 100 sq. ft. of surface area. The application rate may have to be increased as much as four times in water with a high organic content.
Case: 100 briquets Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Vectobac G
A corncob based, granular, biological larvicide with 7 to 14 days of residual activity.
Controls: Mosquito larvae within 24 hours of application. Effective against 1st thru 3rd instar larvae.
Rate: Apply 2.5 to 10 lbs. per acre by ground or aerial application. Most treatments require no more than 5
lbs. per acre.
Case: 40 lb. bag. Precautionary Statement: CAUTION
Vetobac 12AS
A biological larvicide in an aqueous suspension formulation.
Controls: Mosquito and black fly larvae within 24 hours of application. Effective against 1st thru 3rd instar larvae.
Rate: Apply .25 to 2 pints per acre by ground or aerial application. Most treatments require no more than 1 pint per acre. Vectobac 12 AS can also be applied thru ULV treatments.
